Carol and David Bousfield welcome you to Trainlands. This 17th Century Farmhouse and working farm is located away from busy roads in the Lyvennet Valley above the village of Maulds Meaburn, 5 miles west of Appleby and 13 miles south of Penrith. We can also be reached from junction 38 of the M6 motorway making it easy for access to the Lakes and the Yorkshire Dales.

Trainlands is a tenanted farm consisting of 90 dairy cows and beef cattle. David has farmed Trainlands since 1969 and with a son to follow on there is every likelihood that another Bousfield will carry on the tradition.

 

 

Juice and Cereal will be out on the side table. Please help yourself   Porridge Full cooked breakfast: - Bacon, Egg, Sausage, Mushrooms, Tomatoes and fried Bread. Bacon and Scrambled Egg Scrambled Egg or Beans on Toast Manx Kippers Fillets Toast and Tea or Coffee   All Jams and Marmalades are homemade and may be purchased

The prices for bed and breakfast vary. A deposit of £20 is required on confirmation of booking. Visitors are asked to vacate their rooms by 10.00am on the day of departure for cleaning purposes. Evening meals by arrangement, £15 per person.
